From the end of November through to Epiphany, Trento Città del Natale (Trento, City of Christmas), transports adults and children to an enchanted world of magical thrills.

In Piazza Fiera and Piazza Mostra, an air of festivity fills the magical stands at the MercaChristmas market, a wonderful place to find unusual gifts ranging from beautiful, handcrafted products from Trentino-Alto Adige to the excellent cuisine of the area, including cured meats, wines, cheeses, honey, chocolate and traditional sweet delicacies. Between one purchase and the next, you can enjoy mouthwatering testing sessions and warm up over a delectable glass of mulled wine.

With all that said, Christmas in Trento is not just about the shopping alone: The city also organises a wide array of fringe events throughout the entire city. Don’t miss the Castello del Buonconsiglio in all of its decorated, illuminated beauty, the musical evenings and the magnificent nativity scene exhibition in the Torre Mirana.

Children are the guests of honour during the Christmas events, and all manner of entertainment and fun is organised especially for them, including Santa Claus’s enchanted village, the children’s New Year’s Eve party in the square, the special events at MUSE, the Christmas train and the Elf Camp.
